As a child growing up in Wisconsin, Kristin watched her sister-in-law breastfeed three children, not knowing that what seemed to be such a simple task would one day greatly impact her own feeding choices as a mother. As many mothers discover, Kristin’s breastfeeding journey involved ups and downs, with struggles and victories. Through her own experiences she developed a passion for breastfeeding and a desire to help others succeed. She delved into breastfeeding research articles, became a member and active participant of La Leche League, and ultimately started helping friends and family members along their own breastfeeding journeys. Recognizing that she had a special talent and significant knowledge, Kristin committed to furthering her breastfeeding education and obtained her certification as a Lactation Counselor. When she is not busy helping new mothers breastfeed, you can find Kristin at her local La Leche League meetings or spending time with her husband and two children, Lily and Liam.
